Just after the rainy season ends in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the land is lush with varied shades of green and the air is cool except for mid-day. This is prime time for a visit to our paradise, which, by its very nature, promotes bonding and love. Our spectacular ranch, 'The Last Resort' in the real Costa Rica, sits high in the unspoiled mountains of the Peninsula Nicoya, with a breathtaking view of the gulf. Three hundred acres of open pastures, wooded canyons with mountain streams and waterfalls await you. Lose yourself in nature, joy, and wonder. Howler monkeys, magnificent birds and butterflies, iguanas, multicolored squirrels, and coatamundis abound. Friendly horses, cows, dogs and cats and our baby monkey may become your companions as well. Enjoy sumptuous organic Costa Rican cuisine and fresh fruit drinks with produce from our farm. Opportunities for Community Service and Earth Science Education may readily be arranged if desired.

Book our whole place including 5-8 bedrooms, a huge kitchen, an open-air rancho meeting space, affectionate and supportive staff, etc., come on your own, or ask us to put you in with a small group for a very affordable price. A wide variety of optional activities include: yoga, massage, Spanish lessons and/or immersion, horseback riding, zip-line canopy tours, small motor boat tours of the mangroves and bird island, sailing, kayaking, hot-air ballooning, beach trips, waterfalls and river swims, nature tours, tours to the active volcano and hot-springs or Monteverde National Park. Winter Escape Weeks
Available January through March. Have a wild time with an amazing variety of optional activities which may include horseback riding, sailing, hot-air ballooning, time at the beach, waterfalls and river swims, nature tours, fabulous feasts, and fun, fun, fun.
